What you´ll do

  • Quality system management: Develop, implement, and improve quality control systems, procedures, and documentation
  • Testing & inspections: Oversee routine and surveillance tests, and coordinate inspections across materials, production, packaging, and finished goods, ensuring consistent quality standards
  • Equipment & maintenance management: Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained, compliant with MSA requirements, and supported by effective preventive maintenance plans
  • Manage the non-conforming material review (NCMR) Program. Lead investigations to troubleshoot plant issues and reject batches. Utilize statistical analytical techniques to identify sources of variation and opportunities to improve. Determine key causes of out of spec batches and work to implement effective countermeasures to reduce/eliminate over time. Determine root cause and corrective actions and develop project plans to drive change. Report monthly progress metrics
  • Coordinate implementation of other Quality core tools, problem solving methodologies for NCM (A3, FRPS, etc)
  • Be SQC tool owner - operate monitor, continuously maintain IDHs on SQC and trouble shoot alerts
  • Laboratory organization (5S): Implement and sustain 5S principles to ensure organized, clean, and efficient workspaces, promoting continuous improvement
  • Resource management: Monitor and allocate laboratory resources effectively to meet KPIs
  • Team leadership: Manage, train, and support quality control staff. Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment
  • Coordinate Quality continuous improvements projects/initiatives at site (e.g., FTR improvement, OOS reduction) in alignment with Quality Engineers, Production, Engineering teams
  • Coordinate PFMEA/Risk Assessments (new and updates) based on any deviations (NCM), CP moderation, outline risk reduction steps and participate in PFMEA workshops
  • Participate in NPI/MOC/MFO projects and support processes requiring Quality involvement
  • Manage supplier complaints (SCMS)
  • Support Quality Engineers on customer complaints
  • Participate in MOS meeting and cooperate with cross functional teams for problem solving and projects

What makes you a good fit

  • Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields
  • Min. of 5 years of previous experience in a similar role (automotive sector experience in preferred) 
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills allowing easy interaction with interlocutors, teamwork and cross departmental work
  • Strong sense of organization and planning
  • Result oriented mind set & proactivity
  • Great Statistical data analysis skills
  • Problem solving and Root-cause-analysis (incl. A3, 8D, FRPS, 5W2H)
  • Quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, SQC, MSA)
  • Experience in troubleshooting difficult problems in a plant environment and project management skills
  • Document management, recordkeeping
  • Experience in ERP, preferably SAP
  • Experience in working in cross-functional team, leading and managing team

Gross annual salary starting from €48.000 - Collective Labour Agreement: "Chimico-Industria"
